Our Values

  1. Win the lost at any cost: We are committed to winning the unchurched in the Oklahoma City metro area and around the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
      1. Creativity: To win the unchurched we believe we must present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in fresh, creativity ways (illustrated messages, dramas, video, etc.)
      2. Flexibility: Just because a program or ministry reached the unchurched yesterday doesn't mean it is effective today. We believe to win the lost we must be willing to continually change our methods but not the message.
      3. Excellence: We believe that anything worth doing (especially for Jesus) is worth doing right. We strive to do everything with excellence so that we may attract the unchurched to Jesus.
  2. Community Groups: As we grow larger, we will continue to grow smaller. With the rapid growth of People's Church, there will never be a way for the staff to effectively personally minister to everyone who attends our church. We hold such a high premium on Community Group life.
     
  3. Diversity is celebrated: Every person is invaluable and irreplaceable! We deeply value diversity! The ethnic, social and religious distinctions that divide society disappear in Christ (Galatians 3:28). Our differences become our strengths! People's Church is a unique atmosphere where ALL PEOPLE connect with God!
     
  4. The next generation: We value children and teenagers! We believe every child and teenager needs to know how much God loves them and the great plan He has for their life. We are and will continue to pour a great deal of time, energy, and resources into our children and teenagers. They deserve the BEST!
     
  5. Biblical authority: We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Everything we do and say is biblically based. The Bible is our GUIDE!
     
  6. Every member is a minister: We value every unique individual gift. One of the keys to a fruitful and fulfilling life is discovering, developing and using our spiritual gifts to serve others. Every person in the body of Christ is a minister. The role of the pastoral staff is to equip individuals for ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12). Our goal at People's Church is for 100% of our people to be involved in a ministry. We are committed to helping every person discover their unique spiritual gifts and equipping them to utilize them in a meaningful ministry.
